Charlotte is the founder of Public Relations and Social Media Marketing consultancy Atlantis Digital. Charlotte founded her company straight out of university, having worked alongside her full-time degree as Head of Digital Media for a PR agency.
What initially started as a Summer internship turned into a full-time role after Charlotte established the digital marketing arm of the company, subsequently winning new business, growing the agency’s offering, and even winning a nationally renowned brand as a client, through a pitching process 2 days prior to handing in her final year university thesis.
She is a public speaker, speaking on a variety of social media marketing topics including social media strategy, online PR, content creation, online networking and building relationships for business, and has been featured in Stylist Magazine, The Telegraph, listed as 30 Under 30 Young Entrepreneurs in the UK, GM Business Week, and the Manchester Evening News.
Since establishing my consultancy Atlantis Digital, it has been an exhilarating journey (I know, it sounds like a cliché but I promise it’s true). I work with a range of clients from small businesses and startups, to national Public Limited Companies, across a varied range of sectors, and I’ve had a host of new experiences that have taught me a lot both professionally and personally.
I absolutely love what I do and I believe PR and Social Media are essential elements needed to help the growth of all businesses, and no matter what your budget it’s something that any business, of any size, can do, but I’ve found they can often be seen as an afterthought.
As a result I’ve created another element to Atlantis Digital. A space that boot-strapping small businesses, solo entrepreneurs (aka ‘solopreneurs’ if you’re a fan of a buzzword), freelancers, and startups, can come to access a wealth of information and help, take control of their brand and build it into the business they want it to be.
There’s a whole wide online world of people calling themselves Marketing/PR/Digital/Social Media, Gurus/Aficionados/Experts/Leaders/Ninjas (arrange as you wish) and it can be hard to distinguish the hype from the reality.
I moved to a new city and set up a successful company knowing no one, built my network and Atlantis’s community, and ultimately my business, through social media, so I really do know first hand just how powerful it can be and the results it really can help you achieve.
