Next week I’m headed down to London to attend Snaphappen and I’m really excited!
It’s going to be a day of Snapchatting (obviously), a day of all the filters, but mostly a day of learning from some of the best snapchatters and social mediaers (that’s not a word but it definitely should be).
Snaphappen is the world’s first Snapchat conference “run by the community for the community”, and will play host to over 20 speakers and panellists including Global Head of Social Media for BMC Software Carlos Gil, Snapchat artist Shonduras, Snapchat Interactive Storyteller Shaun Ayala, and Digital Marketing Expert Chris ‘Kubby’ Kubbernus.
Now I’m a massive fan of Snapchat. It’s personal and more connected than any other platform because you’re not just a profile picture behind a few lines of text, you can engage with people face to face directly and build a real relationship with video conversations – and now in app video calling. I think it gives your relationship with your audience/viewers a new dimension.
It looks like a it’s going to be a brilliant day, and I’ve already had people snapping me saying they’ll be at Snaphappen too and planning meet ups, so if you’ve not got your ticket yet then I highly recommend you think about attending.
If you have got your ticket (whoop!) then snap me, tell me, and let’s meet up.
Hope to see you there!
